  • Supervising and organizing projects such as the "Democracy Undone" podcast, a fellowship about the rise of populist authoritarianism around the world, and the HIV/AIDS reporting fellowship, an international filmmaking and reporting project to explore the global response to the HIV/AIDS crisis

  • Daily social media management of GroundTruth's Instagram, Facebook and Twitter sites, as well as curating two newsletters

  • Providing support to the digital editor and editorial staff

The Latino Reporter

  • Pitched stories such as exploring the political identities of Latinx people in the military.

  • Reported on post-mass shooting anxieties

  • Shot and edited audio using a Zoom recorder and Adobe Audition to accompany news stories.

  • Week-long submersion in a newsroom during the NAHJ International Training Conference and Career Fair to strengthen my reporting, data collection, website management, and investigative skills

  • Published MOS profiles in a series titled "Mi Gente."

  • Spearheaded live coverage of a 600-person public protest organized by Emerson College students in opposition to Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination

  • Regularly covered breaking news such as UNITE HERE Local 26's seven-hotel strike against Marriott International. Wrote 800-word story on tight deadline

  • Investigated the college's relationship with diversity by analyzing admissions data
